These two elements make up the contemporary, graceful outfits that help carry the weight of expectation of our Belgian Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Founder Bruno Van Gils designed garments that slot perfectly into the Café Costume DNA. Using high-quality fabrics, in modern and practical ensembles is key to showcasing our Café Costume story to the world. With made-to-measure fits for each individual athlete, movement and practicality is never restricted.
During Team Belgium’s “Catwalk To Paris” event, Café Costume presented a first glance of the Team Belgium outfits. At the event, a selection of athletes from several disciplines stood in for the modelling duties.
In true Café Costume fashion the details don’t stop at finding the right fit. Café Costume approached Belgian artist Sammy Slabbinck to create linings befitting the Olympic Games.
The three resulting designs are chosen by the athletes themselves, to allow for some personalization according to their preference. Each lining portrays a unique take on the rich history and background of the Olympic Games. They sport Olympic imagery, iconic shots and -of course- photos of the French capital.
