AMBASSADOR AGREEMENT BY CAFÉ COSTUME
A photographer (whether it be professional or non-professional) is granted automatic copyright to the images they create, in as far as these images are considered 'original'. To be qualified as 'original', an image does not have to be artistic. By law, the label 'original' is considered when the result is of "an own intellectual creation by the creator" and shows "the personal trademark of the said creator". This implies that if the photographer has delivered a certain intellectual effort to capture an image (and they took certain measures to create it, such as lighting, angle,...) and if the personal choices of the photographer can be established from the image, it is protected by copyright.
Important to note is that the protection by the label copyright is automatic. When one, according to this acquired right, uses said image, once is bound by law to mention the original photographer, unless specifically stated differently. These exact laws are in effect for all fashion-related creations. The finished product remains part of the 'intellectual property of the Café Costume brand, as stated by the legal framework and substantiated by the agreement signed by both parties. This is considered not only a decent approach but is required by copyright law.
