It seemed fitting to assign a complete new space to present these elements of CC couture. Æ studios set out to build a light and quiet space in which our patrons can compose their designs in comfort.
"The Boutique", as it was named, serves as Café Costume's first ever female-oriented shop. It is a space surrounded by big windows on all sides, protected by supersized blinds. Round wooden tables with soft upholstered seating projects ease and familiarity to every visitor.
Conveniently positioned between the flagship store, our Atelier and The Bar it is an bright corner shop, with ample outside seating space for long summer days.
Renovated in 2022 by Æ Studios , the store displays a modern interior with a central working table and two seperate measuring rooms. The Brussels tailors are always on the go to create an airy, open feeling in the shop, obtained by the combination of featherlight fabrics and fair colours.
Next door to the shop, you'll find The Gallery. A venue designated to welcome women who are looking for their own made-to-measure garments and outfits, the Café Costume way.

The first part of the store is designated for women looking to have their measurements taken and garments designed.
The interior design from the store shows a brutal elegance. Bold imagery and sturdy furniture are combined with rounded textiles and deep toned wood furnishings. The innovative tailor shop incorporates a table sculpture and artwork by Florian Tomballe. Café Costume set up a rewarding collaboration with Going East, who dressed the Fosbury & Sons workspace in Antwerp. Leave your car at the Vrijdagmarkt parking lot, and grab the opportunity to wander through Ghent, suited up.
